Arthur Joseph Highbridge, of Lake Worth, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2019, in his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in New York City, N.Y. on July 23, 1933, and the son of the late Ethel and Jack Highbridge. He graduated from the New York City High School of the Performing Arts in the Bronx and joined the National Coast Guard and served during the Korean War. Arthur and his former wife, Phyllis Highbridge had six children together. He remarried, Carmen Highbridge and the family grew to nine children. He spent most of his life working in sheet metal manufacturing and related sales. Arthur and his wife resided in New York until 1987 when they relocated to sunny Florida. His children nostalgically recall his favorite song,"Cannibal King With A Big Nose Ring." Arthur was a loving grandfather, artist and had a strong passion for helping others in need. He had a big family and is survived by his nine children, Robert Highbridge, Jon Highbridge, wife, Ronnie, Michelle Mann, husband, Robert, Douglas Highbridge, Pamela Highbridge, Carlos Highbridge, Lorene Morris, husband, Kim, Adelina Clarke, husband, James Clarke and Arthur Highbridge; his 14 grandchildren, Tiffany Highbridge, Jennifer Rubio Pizarro, Mathew Mangone, wife, Danielle, Melanie Avgerakis, Dustin Highbridge, wife Sakura, Andrew Nachstein, wife Lauren, Jessica Highbridge, Deryck Highbridge, Joanna Rafiq, husband Basir, Marissa Hager, husband, Cody, Brannon Highbridge, Kiona Highbridge, Cassandra Highbridge, and Jacob Highbridge. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, Soleil Tavcar, Sadia and Naveed Rafiq, Gianna and Ava Mangone, Mark, Lyle, and Cody Hager, Jr., and Lucus Highbridge as well as cousins and nieces. He was predeceased by his wife Carmen; brother, Russell Highbridge, and sister in law, Eileen Highbridge.
