Jane Kerstin Dietrich of Jupiter, Florida passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 26, 2019 at the age of 65. She was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt; her family adored her.
Jane was born on September 22, 1953 in Boston, MA. She spent her childhood in Wayland MA and graduated from Wayland High. One of her favorite pastimes as a teenager was riding her horses. After high school, she lived in Boston and attended Katherine Gibbs School. For a period of time she lived in Bellingham, MA and worked at Jofran Sales furniture company. Jane moved to Jupiter Florida in 1992 where she bought a home and shared it with her beloved Golden Retrievers, Jake, Rudy and finally Brady. She worked at Palm Beach Orthopedic Institute for 23 years where she was a hardworking and loyal medical assistant to Dr. Hodge, Dr. Burdett, and finally Dr. Fowble, and she enjoyed the many patient relationships she formed over the years.Jane loved going to the beach, playing golf, traveling to Cape Cod and Nantucket, and was a huge fan of all the Boston sports teams. Weekends were spent at her sisters barbecuing by the water and sharing laughs and stories with friends and neighbors. She was a loyal member of the Jupiter Moose Lodge and enjoyed spending time there. Every summer, Jane journeyed to New England in search of the elusive perfect lobster roll. She never missed an opportunity to toast a special occasion with a cold glass of Prosecco. Most of all, Jane loved her family. Her affectionate nature was contagious. The time she spent with us making precious memories will always be cherished.Jane was predeceased by her parents, H. Curtiss Dietrich and Betty Jane Heartfield, her stepfather, Charles F. Heartfield, her brothers, Arthur Curtiss Dietrich and Jeffrey Dietrich.
Jane is survived by her family of siblings: Scott Dietrich (Jennie Richardson) of Centerville MA, Betsy Heartfield (Bill Harders) of Jupiter, FL, Mark Heartfield of Cotuit MA, Gary Heartfield (Debby) of Old Hickory, TN, Gale Greene (John) of Centerville MA., Tommy Dietrich (FL) Lael Cook (Gregory) of So. Hamilton MA, and Lissa Dietrich (Sissy) of FL. She also leaves behind her dear stepmother, Alice Roberts Dietrich, many nieces, nephews, and cousins and her longtime friend, Eugene “Woody" Woodward.Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at JupiterFIRST Church located at 1475 Indian Creek Parkway, Jupiter FL 33458. In lieu of flowers, friends and family may make memorial donations in her name to the Golden Rescue South Florida.
