Bill Thomas of Jupiter, Florida passed away on Saturday, January 19th, 2019 at the age of 76.
Born in Kingston, PA to William Walter Thomas, Sr. and Jeanette Jones, he was raised in Edwardsville and graduated from Edwardsville High School in 1960. He was proud to have served his country in the Army in the late '60s. While living in Pennsylvania, he worked in the banking and finance industry. Bill, his wife Carol, and their children moved from Kingston to Jupiter in 1999. From then until 2016, they owned and operated West Jupiter Camping Resort in Jupiter Farms. Bill is best remembered for his outsized personality and love of Penn State football.
He was a lifelong member of Kingston Lodge No. 395 of the Free and Accepted Masons, Shriners International, and the American Legion. You didn’t have to know Bill well to know that his family and friends were the most important parts of his life. He is survived by his wife Carol of 40 years; their son Justin (Angela) Thomas of Fishers, IN and daughter Courtney Thomas of Jupiter; his son David Thomas of Tarpon Springs, FL; and two grandchildren Aiden, 2, and Lillian, 5 months, of Fishers. He was preceded in death by his son Scott Thomas.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00PM to 6:30PM with a Memorial Service starting at 6:30PM on Friday, January 25th at Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 250 Center Street, Jupiter. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Four Diamonds at Penn State Children's Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
